The UEA programme delivery team and stakeholders from academia and different sectors of pharmacy practice, are contributing to the development of a new Foundation training year led by HEE East of England. The expectation is to introduce gradual changes to the foundation training year as well as the MPharm degree that will facilitate implementation of the new GPhC standards for the initial education and training of pharmacists over the next 5 years.
The UEA programme delivery team continue to support all provisional registrants working in East of England, as they prepare to take their online GPhC assessments on either the 17 or 18 March 2021. Support is provided via online learning materials, revision tools, calculations support and practise assessments.
A 2-day induction event was delivered on 10 and 11 August 2020, via online interactive sessions on UEA Blackboard Collaborate. Trainees were allocated to one of 12 groups to facilitate small group activities throughout the training year. The event was well received and paved the way for close communications amongst trainees based at different hospital sites and between individual trainees and the programme delivery team.
